Kosher Response & Leon Mayer Fund are helping the homeless by providing clothing and fresh food
Last night was truly a very special evening and heart warming. The team at Kosher Response & Leon Mayer Fund drove to Manhattan to help feed and cloth hundreds of homeless and people in need of our help.
Samuel David of King David's Contractors LLC met us by our Mark Ramer Chesed Center and loaded up an entire van of brand new clothing including jeans, shirts, socks, underwear and shoes to bring to the city.
Thank you to Kevin Cohnen and the team at Kosher in Midtown Catering Kosher in Midtown for preparing fresh food that we picked up to distribute for dinner to the hundreds of people that showed up for help.
We were met by many volunteers who helped make the evening a true success and I want to thank Shlomo Klein of Fleishigs Magazine and Albyrrd Wieder for taking the rail road in to be there to help and make a difference in so many lives.
The event was created and run by PCNY In The Streets which has been doing this at this location for almost eight years now helping to feed and cloth the people that need it most.
Let us continue to always be on the giving side and be able and actually do good for others that need our help. We can make this world a better place for so many if we come together as a community and work towards a common goal of doing good for the sake of just doing good. Be the one that makes a difference!
