Yesterday the community came together for a beautiful food distribution at the Five Towns Community Center that helped so many families during these trying times.
Thank you to World of Giving for facilitating the very large donations of 10’s of thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables.
With the help of Kosher Guru’s Kosher Response and Rabbi Simcha Lefkowitz of The Leon Mayer Fund we were able to have a very successful day bringing together our community and having neighbors helping neighbors.
We could not have done this with out help of Sasha Young and all the volunteers who showed up and to Brent Hill and the entire board and team at the Five Towns Community Center whom we partnered with to help so many.
Thank you to Abel Feldhamer who is a School Board Trustee for loading up and delivering the produce. Mr. & Mrs. Mendy Cohen of Cazenova for allowing us to use your warehouse. Dr. Asher Mansdorf and Heshy Blachorsky of the Lawerence School Board for volunteering and Miri Stern who helped organize the volunteers and the logistics of the day.
Thank you to our partners in making the food distribution happen including Community Chest South Shore, The Marion and Aaron Gural JCC and to all the local Rabbi’s and Synagogues for your donations covering the cost of the event.
