Helping to fight food insecurity in our community and beyond
We have recently launched Phase 2 of our initiative to help feed hungry families during this pandemic. Your support will allow us to purchase gift cards from local restaurants and distribute them to families in need to ease their burden during this crisis.
We've been very busy donating food to hospitals, law enforcement, firefighters and paramedics all over New York.
Today we were able to help over 300 families for the holiday’s get brand new suits, coats and shirts at the Mark Ramer Chesed Center. It truly was a successful day with Leon Mayer Fund & Kosher Response doing the chesed we do for our community and beyond. Thank you to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for always being there for our community and showing your support while leading the way in doing good. Rabbi Simcha Lefkowitz and I would like to thank each and every volunteer who came out in the rain today to help make this one of the most successful events we held. We could not have done it without each and every one of you, thank you. Thank you to our partners and sponsors in making this event a reality: Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula - JCCRP Community Chest South Shore Hat Box Twillory King David's Contractors LLC

The Leon Mayer Fund & Kosher Response is proud to announce and offer to our community the “Schulder Free Loan Fund”
The Leon Mayer Fund & Kosher Response is proud to announce and offer to our community the “Schulder Free Loan Fund”. The fund is a non-fee fund to help local families during these trying times. It may go to help towards a simcha, to fix an item needed in your house, rent and other much needed things. The payback options are easy for families to handle and there must be a guarantor to accept the loan. Partnered with: Community Chest South Shore For more information and to apply: https://www.leonmayerfund.org/schulder-free-loan-fund

The Pantry Pepper Challenge
Met up with David Kaye yesterday as he was nominated for the #PantryPepperChallenge created by Dr. Craig Berry to help support the The Marion and Aaron Gural JCC food pantry. Dr. Berry grows Carolina Reaper’s and they are one of the hottest peppers 🌶 known to mankind and they are definitely hot! Either eat the pepper or donate or do both. Funds are being raised for the S.H.O.P food pantry at Gural JCC which helps with food insecurity and feeds hundreds of families. Please nominate 5 friends to partake in this fun charity event. Message Dr. Berry to pick up a Carolina Reaper is needed.

World of Giving is working round the clock to provide the needy
So many people have messaged me asking what World of Giving is all about. What better way to explain than to share with all a recent tour of got of their 75,000 square foot warehouse and to explain what they have been doing during this Covid19 pandemic and beyond. They truly are an amazing organization and I’m proud of the work they continue to do for so many.
